The first season of “Reacher” proved to be a mega hit for Amazon Prime Video. Now Alan Ritchson returns as a tough ex-military cop in season 2. Today we can present you the first trailer for the action series:
After “Reacher” became a tremendous success for the streaming service on Amazon Prime Video, it was clear that a second season would only be a matter of time. After less than two years, the wait is now over, because season 2 of “Reacher” is just around the corner: The new episodes will be released on Amazon Prime Video from December 15, 2023.
New episodes follow weekly exclusively on Prime Video worldwide, every Friday. The second season includes a total of eight episodes. The season finale will appear on January 19, 2024.
Alan Ritchson (“Fast X”) returns again in the eponymous lead role and gets to flex his muscles as an ex-military cop. Maria Sten, who was introduced as Frances Neagles in Season 1, plays a much larger and therefore more meaningful role in Season 2. The novel “Trouble” (originally: “Bad Luck And Trouble”) by Lee Child served as a template for the new episodes.

This is what Season 2 of “Reacher” is about
Jack Reacher travels like a vagabond across the United States without luggage or the ability to be reached by traditional means. One day, Reacher notices an unusual, anonymous transfer in his bank account: someone sent him $1,030. It’s immediately clear to Reacher what the sum means: 10-30 is the military code used to request immediate help.
The former military cop then contacts his former colleague Frances Neagley and together the two quickly find out that one of their old comrades is dead. Calvin Franz and three other members of the old team have disappeared from the face of the earth. It quickly becomes clear to Reacher and Neagley that one of their own has stumbled upon something that he needs help with – but the mysterious enemy is powerful…
What will happen next for the series after season 2 of “Reacher” is not yet clear at this point. In total, Lee Childs has written over two dozen novels about Jack Reacher. However, a chronological order of book publications is not necessarily followed. The stories largely stand on their own anyway (with a few exceptions).
