The highlight of the Summer Game Fest conference was a new (old-new) demonstration of the upcoming action RPG Elden Ring. The phrase old-new sample is appropriate here, as it is probably an escaped trailer, the shots of which we have already seen this year. In some places, the trailer makes the world far more colorful than we are used to at FromSoftware. But their handwriting is still to be found here, especially in the dark passages. These passages include ladders heading into the darkness, and with them an enormous number of enemies of a truly terrifying appearance.
Fans of soulslike games have undoubtedly registered a novelty, which is the use of horses. It will serve not only as a means of transport, but also as one of the aspects in combat. Of course, there are also magic swords, scary “monsters” and bonfire places. We can also notice some specific enemies, such as dragons. A few shots also allow us to look at the interiors, which are strikingly reminiscent of Gothic castles.
Elden Ring is an upcoming action RPG from developers from FromSoftware, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. In addition to being a soulslike affair, lore is a specific feature of this game. He is responsible for game director Hidetaka Miyazaki, but also for the famous writer George RR Martin. Apart from the release date, we do not have more information about the game yet. However, it must be said that Bandai Namco has its conference at E3 next week, on Tuesday 15 March. So it is possible that we will get more information right here.
The release date is currently set for January 21, 2022 for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms.
