According to her, access to Bom Jesus dos Passos necessarily passes through Madre de Deus. “So this pier was everything we needed, it greatly improves the conditions of the population, vacationers, commerce, everything.

The governor pointed out that it is an important terminal that serves for sightseeing, to urgently transport a sick person, to do tourism and generate income. “It also facilitates access for people to get to know this island so beautiful, so affectionate, with such special people”, he said. For the holder of Setur, the delivery of equipment highlights the work of the state government in promoting the great tourist potential of Baía de Todos-os-Santos.

“And now, truly, the island is structured to increase the flow in this important tourist spot. It was a total investment of more than 70 million dollars in the entire Baía de Todos-os-Santos, in nautical structuring works, in Culture and also in the socio-environmental area. It is actions like these that structure tourist destinations to generate jobs and income for Bahians”, he emphasized.

The director of Associação Náutica da Bahia, Marcelo Fróes, highlighted the importance of state investments in Baía de Todos-os-Santos for the promotion of local nautical tourism. “It is extremely important equipment, strategically placed in a very beautiful region with several islands, including Ilha dos Frades, which is one of the most visited spots in the region”.

Still according to Fróes, the next race to take place in the Bay is close and it will already be possible to enjoy the comfort generated by the new terminal delivered. “We will even have a regatta taking place on the 27th of May, for this region. Thus, the wharf becomes an important equipment not only for tourists, for visitors, but mainly, for the resident of this region who do this crossing with a lot of constancy”.
