As is the case for Mountaneô, the Sesta (Service for the exploitation of tourist sites in Ariège) also inaugurated another tourist site in 2023 with Talcaneô, its museum space and the visit of the Trimouns quarry (reservation required ).
If they are not new, the other sites managed by the Sesta are also open all summer.
The Mas-d’Azil, Bédeilhac and Niaux caves as well as the Prehistory Park and the Bishops’ Palace welcome tourists and Ariège residents every day of the week during the summer period. This is also the case of the Château de Foix, the leading tourist site in the department and which exceeded 100,000 visitors in 2022. The castle also offers, in addition to the visit, a medieval escape game with challenges as original as they are offbeat.
Note that events can also be organized such as the concert at the Palace of the Bishops on July 17.
