New toll rates go into effect for New York travel – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK – The start of the week brought new toll rates for travelers traveling from New Jersey to New York via the Port Authority’s bridges and tunnels.

The current new rates apply to the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, the George Washington, Bayonne and Goethals bridges and the Outerbridge Crossing.

Off-peak travelers to New York will now pay $12.75, and peak fares will be $14.75. Both prices listed will be for EZ Pass holders only, those without should expect mail tolls, which are $17 at all hours. All fares increased by about a dollar.

Tolls are collected upon entering New York. There are no tolls when entering New Jersey.

All Port Authority crossings are cashless and no longer accept cash toll payments.
