New Toll Collection System Implemented in Sarpsborg: Find Your Route Cost with Updated Toll Calculator

Earlier this week it became clear that toll collection in Sarpsborg will start at 12.00 on Wednesday 24 January.

Difficult to have an overview

Now that the toll stations are turned on on this day, everyone who drives a car will notice it in their wallet or bank account, but how much it will cost, there are probably many people who do not have an overview of, even if the toll rates are clear.

With one-way charging, hourly rules and different prices for cars with different fuel types, it can be difficult to find the right price for a trip.

But now it should be easier to find the answer. For Fremtind Service, which is Norway’s largest AutoPASS issuer, has already updated its toll calculator with the new tolls that will be put into operation in just over a month. This means that if you enter the start and stop of your routes, you will quickly see what the price will be when you go to work or training after the New Year. Because the new toll calculator also handles all these rate rules, writes Fremtind Service in a press release on Wednesday morning.

– We find that there is great interest in finding out exactly what my trip will cost, says Svein Skovly, commercial director at Fremtind Service, who himself lives in Fredrikstad.

Sends toll tags daily to Sarpsborg

He is now encouraging all sarpings to get an AutoPASS agreement and bomb tag.

– If you don’t already have one, get an AutoPASS agreement, says Skovly and explains why:

– With an AutoPASS agreement and toll tag, you always get the best prices and terms. And also remember that you must have an AutoPASS agreement to get the electric car discount, he says.

He goes on to say that most people who live in Fredrikstad, where there have long been tolls, have acquired such an AutoPASS agreement.

– In Sarpsborg, there are still many people who have not had a bomb chip, but that is now about to change. Every single day this autumn, Fremtind Service has sent a significant number of toll tags to motorists with postcodes starting with 17, says commercial director Svein Skovly at Fremtind Service in the press release.
