The historic company Taxis ambulances Alazard, founded in 1974 and well known to Argelésiens, has just changed hands and name. David Thadée is now at the head of Ambulances et taxis du littoral, whose offices have not changed location: 23, avenue de la Gare.
It was in Collioure that David Thadée began his activity: “The license was not expensive, because I bought it from someone who was close to retirement”. He then took a license at Perthus and worked for 10 years with five drivers before taking over the very famous Argelès brand. “When I was little, I was already a customer. Ms. Alazard knew me well: she was happy to see me again and that it was an Argelésian who took over”. Today, David and his 30 drivers, supported by three administrative staff, manage a fleet of eight taxis, three ambulances, four VSL (light medical vehicles) and four minibuses which operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are parked in two municipalities: Argelès and Collioure.
The office is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. without interruption, and loyal customers are not disappointed: “I took over the employees. My secretary, Emmanuelle, has been there for 22 years!”
Today, David’s goal is to adapt to the new CPAM directives and always offer his clients quality work: punctuality, respect and empathy. “We are part of the Argelesian heritage. I decided to add ”Transport David” to ”Ambulances and taxis of the coast””.
