The Slovakian company Ecocapsule presents a cheaper version of its tiny house. At 50,000 euros, the Ecocapsule Space model is significantly cheaper than the first version, but also offers sophisticated equipment details.

Ecocapsule – this name is in the Tiny house movement a long time ago. After all, the company from Slovakia attracted great attention as early as 2015 when the first prototypes in a striking egg shape were available. However, it should take another three years before the refuge, which was technically highly interesting, could actually be bought at prices of just under 80,000 euros.

Now, “Space by Ecocapsule”, the second, cheaper version has been introduced. With a footprint of 6.3 square meters inside and 8.2 square meters outside, the egg is just as big as the first edition. In contrast to the fully self-sufficient model, Ecocapsule describes the novelty as “semi off-grid”. An overview of the equipment highlights:
- Integrated solar cells on the roof (on a telescopic pole, 200 watts)

- Battery with a capacity of 1.2 kilowatts
- Steel frame with fiberglass cover and insulation
- Space for one or two people
- Space requirements: 4.67 x 2.20 x 2.50 meters

The basic version of Ecocapsule, which costs 80,000 euros, comes with a small wind turbine on request and is significantly more extensively equipped. There is a separate bathroom inside as well as other furniture, including a bed. Both modules can be combined and then offer space for four to five people.
The manufacturer therefore sees “Space” more like an additional module: “It can be your new garden shed, a mobile office, sales room, mobile checkpoint for medical staff, guest rooms or a home for rebellious teenagers.” Further technical data and information can be found on the Manufacturer side.
