In a post on the X platform, formerly Twitter, Medvedev said on Friday: “Bild published a revanchist article proudly announcing the return of German tanks to Russian soil.”
“We will do everything to bring Russian tanks to Republic Square”
Newsweek reports that Medvedev’s statement refers to the delivery of Leopard tanks and F-16 fighter jets by NATO countries to Ukraine. He continued: “In response, we will do everything to bring the latest Russian tanks to the Republic Square.” The Republic Square is located in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin.
Medvedev’s threat aggravates international situation
The Russian politician has already made headlines in the past with drastic measures and open threats. According to Newsweek, Medvedev’s comments will further exacerbate the already tense relationship between Russia and NATO members.
