What is The Edge?

  • After the Empire State Building, the Top of the Rock and the One World Observatory, New York will host a 4th observatory as of March 11, 2020. Its name: The Edge, “le bord” in French.
  • This new observatory is located at the top of the 30 Hudson Yards tower, 345 meters high. Enough to offer you a breathtaking view of New York!
  • The location of The Edge is also particularly interesting: unlike the 3 other observatories, The Edge is located along the Hudson, allowing you to step back to observe Manhattan. The Empire State Building is close at hand, and you’ll enjoy a bird’s eye view of Midtown.
  • Another big plus of this new observatory: it includes an outdoor platform, obviously surrounded by thick bay windows. Walk up to the middle of the platform and jump on the glass floor!

How to visit the new observatory?

The Edge opens its doors on March 11, 2020 and everything is full during the day until Sunday, March 15, 2020. To book your tickets, you have two options:

  • Go to the official site from The Edge, to reserve your admission ticket. You will then have to indicate a day and a fixed time for your visit. Entry price at the normal rate: $ 39.20, taxes included.
  • Book a Sightseeing Pass, a sightseeing pass that allows you to benefit from a discount on your visits to New York. There are two passes: the New York Sightseeing Flex Pass, which allows you to choose from 2 to 10 visits from a list of nearly 70 visits, and the New York Sightseeing Day Pass, which allows you to choose the number of days that are valid. of the pass, from 1 to 10 days. Advantage of the passes: you do not need to fix the day of your visit in advance. All you need to do is show up at the entrance, show your pass and you will be given a ticket for the next available slot.
