The tension has risen a notch in recent days between the police and residents of certain neighborhoods after the accident on Saturday of a biker in Villeneuve-la-Garenne (Hauts-de-Seine), involving the police and of which the circumstances remain unclear. During the night from Monday to Tuesday, sporadic incidents broke out again in several municipalities in the Paris suburbs. Ten people were arrested.
In the 92, “the scenario repeats itself”
The ten arrests were carried out in Hauts-de-Seine: seven in Clichy, two in Rueil-Malmaison and one in Villeneuve-la-Garenne. Clashes also pitted small groups of young people against the police in Asnières, Nanterre, Meudon, Clamart and Gennevilliers.
The clashes appear to have shifted into the northern loop over the long evening. Asnières was affected by this violence around 10:45 p.m., Villeneuve at the stroke of midnight and Clichy an hour later. No injuries are to be deplored. The damage was limited to a few burned cars and garbage cans.

The situation was sometimes tense, the police wiping projectile jets and fireworks. But the police, “who sometimes had to use collective weapons”, claim to have always kept control.
A “classic phenomenon” in Seine-Saint-Denis
In Seine-Saint-Denis, tensions began in the city of Fauvettes, in Neuilly-sur-Marne, around 8 p.m., with dustbin fire barriers. Incidents, notably mortar fire, also occurred in Aulnay-sous-Bois, in the city of 3000. Saint-Denis and Clichy-sous-Bois were also the scene of incidents. However, there were no injuries, no questioning, or damage. Incidents are also reported in Montreuil, Bobigny, la Courneuve, Drancy, Bondy, Villepinte and in Blanc-Mesnil.
Last week, territorial intelligence reported last week some tensions in Seine-Saint-Denis, and the accident in Villeneuve-la-Garenne seems to have served as an accelerator. “We are more on a classic phenomenon, at that time. Contradictory versions
Incidents occurred on Monday evening in several departments of Ile-de-France. Police officers were targeted by projectiles in Nogent-sur-Oise (Oise), Evry (Essonne) and Chanteloup-les-Vignes. We do not deplore any injuries.
