Of Friday, November 5, 2021 to Thursday, November 25, 2021
The gradual commissioning of the New Technical Platform (NPT) on the North site of the CHU Grenoble Alpes, which brings together the intensive care, continuing care and adult emergency services in a single building, allows the first stage of modernization of the North site of the CHU Grenoble Alpes.
After the relocation of the death chamber, of the multi-purpose surgical reanimation, of the neurosurgical reanimation and of the intensive-reanimation-intensive medicine, it is now the turn of the adult emergency department to take possession of its new premises.
It brings together in the same building the critical care and vital emergency sector and will further strengthen the performance of our trauma center.
Resuscitation services (multipurpose surgical resuscitation, neurosurgical resuscitation, intensive medicine-resuscitation), emergency services, the funeral chamber service and the Forensic Institute will be able to benefit from a high-tech environment / equipment for the well-being of healthcare professionals and patients.
Access to new adult emergencies
Access to new emergencies is exclusively from outside the building.
The service is accessible by a pedestrian ramp that meets PMR standards (people with reduced mobility).
Public transport access: Tramway B, “La Tronche Hôpital” stop (be careful when changing stations: do not get off at the Grand Sablon stop), line 13, T85 and T82.
Vehicle access:
A car drop-off is available in front of the new entrance. The accompanying person, taxis and ambulances must then park in the “Neurology parking” or in the Belledonne parking lot.
Authorized vehicles (SAMU / SMUR, fire brigade, ambulances, taxis, police, penitentiary) have reserved access.
Give priority to an appropriate emergency treatment for unscheduled care
In the particular context of the move, but also in everyday life, it is essential to favor a recourse adapted to emergencies for unscheduled care. The continuity of care and support is provided by the teams throughout the moving period.
In order not to overload the emergency services and to ensure appropriate recourse to hospital platforms, simple reflexes can be adopted.
If possible, before going to the emergency room:
● During the day, I first contact my general practitioner or the reception facilities for general practitioners. In case of emergencies, and if possible, I call the 15th before going to the emergency room: the medical regulators of the SAMU will then be able to assess your situation and direct you to the appropriate structures. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, I call 15.
● At night, if I have a health problem that cannot wait for the medical offices to open, I call 15. Referrals via the 15 are always possible for scheduled medical consultations. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, I call 15.
