Henrik Jurelius was fired from his role as sporting director in AIK last autumn and has been away from football for a while.
Now he is coming back to the Allsvenskan because he will be technical director in BP, in a role where he will work with the sporting director Philip Berglund and develop the operations around the A team, the P19 team and the P17 team.
– Henrik is an experienced association person who until recently worked as sports manager in the Allsvenskan. We have found a good role where his competence will strengthen our business in the long term, says BP’s club director Peter Kleve to the association’s website.
– It feels great to come to BP, I have been away from football for a period and feel that I have a lot of energy to give BP in this role, says Jurelius.
“Knows all systems”
Sports director Philip Berglund says he is looking forward to working with Jurelius.
– We know each other well from before and Henrik knows all the systems we work with. Together we will build a men’s squad that has a high potential value and scout both internally and externally to sharpen the business both on and off the pitch, says Berglund.
The newcomer Brommapojkarna has had a strong season in the Allsvenskan and is in ninth place with two thirds of the series played. The distance down to the qualification place and relegation is seven points.
