New SUV space: 9 colors and 5 different engines

Cupra is one of the fastest growing brands in Europe. Volkswagen It is very focused on this and in the next few years it will introduce some models in itself, as it is already doing Seats. From 2018 to today, this brand has delivered more than 700 thousand cars and opened more than 800 Cupra Garages. At the time of the very famous America’s Cupthe Iberian brand has decided to remove the awnings from its latest creation, the long awaited Terramar by enthusiasts.

This model will be produced in Hungary, in Audi factories and deliveries will begin in the last quarter of 2024. The name of the electric SUV is a tribute to the Terramar circuit, where the Cupra brand was born. This car promises to quickly climb the popularity rankings in its segment.

What does he offer us outside

In terms of design, the Cupra Terramar represents a real change for the brand. Its dimensions are generous: 4,519 mm long, 1,584 mm high and 1,863 mm wide with a 2,681 mm wheelbase. The front is characterized by a shark shape and the headlights have a new three-triangle light signature with projectors Matrix LED. Also on the front we find a stylish grille that gives character and fun to this SUV.

The powerful lines of this model are then enhanced by the available alloy wheels which can be 18″, 19″ and 20″. Finally, on the back we find the logo Cupra along with the inscription Terramar illuminati. This model will be available with 9 exterior colors including 2 matt, namely: Century Bronze Matt and Enceladus Gray Matt. Then there are: Dark Void, Fjord Blue, Glacial White, Cosmos Blue, Timanfaya Grey, Midnight Black and Graphene Grey.

The interior and the engine

When you enter the car there is a “welcome reception” with a play of lights that puts the Cupra logo on the ground with the front and rear lights. Inside the car we find a Cupra steering wheel with paddles and satellite buttons as standard. The seats are fun and offer maximum comfort, the lines of the console are reminiscent of the exterior and the infotainment is top notch. A 12.9-inch screen helps us with a backlit slider. In addition, thanks to the Head-Up Display on the windscreen you can have everything at your disposal while driving.

The graphic interface of the infotainment system has also been improved to make it more intuitive for the driver with connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The audio department, however, is handled by Sennheiser Motion. In addition, Cupra ensures the use of eco-sustainable and renewable materials. The interior is offered in 3 different proposals: Deep Ocean, Moon Light and High Canyon. All the seats are finished with Cupra branding wrapped around the headrest.

In terms of engines, Cupra offers three different technologies and 5 different engines. So we found the TSI (petrol), the Hybrid (mild hybrid) and the e-HYBRID (plug-in hybrids) and they manage to deliver between 150 HP and 272 HP. Regardless of the engine chosen, all Cupra Terramars are equipped with a DSG dual clutch gearbox. Of course, according to EU regulationsthis car is also equipped with all the latest mandatory generation ADAS. Finally, a special variant of the model will be produced in only 1,337 examples, this is the Cupra Terramar America’s Cup Limited Edition. As for prices, they vary between 40 thousand and 60 thousand euros depending on the type of engine and the chosen setting.
