The suspect in the case of beating a police officer with the initials MH by a parking attendant (jukir) on Jalan Cirendeu Raya, Ciputat, South Tangerang, increased. The police named a new suspect with the initials SWD (35) in this case.
“There are 5 suspects, an additional 1 person with the initials SWD, 35 years old,” said East Ciputat Police Chief Kompol Kemas Arifin to reporters, Thursday (4/1/2024).
Kemas said that SWD was also the parking attendant who took part in ganging up on MH. Now, there are five suspects in this case, namely PIL (30), PK (38), AG (38), I (38), and SWD (35).
“Yes, SWD is a friend of the parking attendant. He joined (ganged up),” he said.
Furthermore, Kemas said that the beating occurred because of a dispute caused by traffic jams. He said MH was also not wearing a Polri uniform when the incident occurred.
“Initially the victim passed in front of the restaurant, while passing by the suspects were hanging out drunk, then because the road was congested, an argument arose between the suspects and the victim, then they assaulted the victim,” said Kompol Kemas.
“At the time of the incident the victim was not wearing a police uniform. During the beating, the victim’s upper clothes (clothes) came off,” he added.
Will Undergo a Urine Test
East Ciputat Police Chief Commissioner Kemas Arifin said that his party would carry out urine tests on the 4 jukirs.
“We will carry out a urine test to find out whether the suspect is under the influence of drugs or not,” said Kompol Kemas to reporters.
Kemas said that the 4 jukirs were under the influence of alcohol when they attacked MH. He said urine tests would be carried out to find out whether the suspects were under the influence of narcotics.
“We haven’t yet check“, while alcohol and the suspect also admitted that he had finished drinking for New Year’s reasons,” he said.
Victim Suffers Several Injuries
Kemas further said that MH suffered a number of injuries as a result of the beating. These include bruises and bruises under the eyes, around the mouth, arms and chest.
“There are bruises, bruises under the eyes, around the mouth, some on the shoulders, some on the arms, some on the chest, we have also done post-mortems,” he said.
