Social disorders, psychological stress, and depression in the workplace are all factors that prompted experts in the United States to organize a survey that included 1,500 participants from different departments, to understand the extent to which employees use insurance benefits related to their mental and psychological health provided in the workplace, and to find out why they refrain from them.
What did the results show?
85% of the participants did not use or benefit from these benefits at all. About 56% of the participants said they had not seen a mental health therapist, although 40% of them said they had seen an increased need for such treatments. The experts added that 18% of employees saw a psychiatrist before the Corona epidemic, and 9% of them saw a therapist since the epidemic. Experts also found that 53% of respondents want to follow up on their health with online specialists and digital programs, to help them manage their mental and psychological health.
