A new destructive earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 was registered today in the southern district of Kahramanmaras, Turkish television CNN-Turk reported, citing The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center. Its website shows that the area shakes every 5-10 minutes, aftershocks have already exceeded 60 and some are very strong.
According to information from the Kandilli seismological observatory, the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.5.
The tremor was registered in the city of Elbistan at 1:23 p.m. local time (12:23 p.m.). The earthquake was felt in many counties in Turkey.

At 4:17 a.m. (3:17 a.m. Bulgarian time) an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred in the city of Pazardzhak, Kahramanmarash district.
