Roma signed a top-class striker in Andrea Belotti last summer. For the new season, the Giallorossi apparently put out their feelers again for an attacker.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Roma are interested in center forward Luis Muriel. The Colombian national striker is still under contract with Atalanta Bergamo until 2024, but is said to want to leave the club.
Under coach Gian Piero Gasperini, Muriel does not play a major role this season. The 31-year-old was only used part-time in 15 games across all competitions, scoring just one goal in just under ten hours of play.

The Roma around head coach Jose Mourinho and sporting director Tiago Pinto should consider working together from next summer despite Muriel’s unconvincing record in the current season.
The Giallorossi are currently employing two top-class center forwards in Tammy Abraham and Andrea Belotti, Belotti’s contract expires on June 30, 2023. So far, the Italian international has been disappointing, having not scored in the league under Mourinho.
