A new story trailer for Nioh 2 provides insights into the story of the upcoming action RPG by Team Ninja from Koei Tecmo, which will be released worldwide on March 13. You can find the trailer below the message.
Nioh 2nd transferred players to Japan during the Sengoku period in 1555, the time of the Warring States. Endless battles have plunged the country into chaos and residents are plagued by the yokai – terrifying demon creatures from Japanese mythology. In this relentless scenery, players meet their personal protagonist, whom they can create themselves. He or she is a fearless mercenary tasked with hunting Yokai in Mino Province. This demon hunter keeps a terrible secret: he is a hybrid, an orphan with human and yokai blood. Without a place in human society, the half-breed travels alone.

One day a disaster strikes when he loses control of his yokai powers in the fight against a cruel enemy. Only the help of a wandering merchant named Toukichiro can prevent worse. The latter sells the mysterious “ghost stones” – magic artifacts that connect to Yokai spirits. Toukichiro and the demon hunter decide to join forces and find more ghost stones together. During their mission they meet the Yokai hunter Mumyo, get into the service of the mighty general Oda Nobunaga and face a demonic power that is also looking for the stones. This clears the stage for the epic saga of the half-blooded demon hunter “Hideyoshi”.

After the appearance of Nioh 2nd there are plans to release three major enhancements as a DLC. These each treat a different storyline that precedes the events of Nioh 2nd takes place. Each of the additional content packs will feature approximately four to ten hours of gameplay, many main and side missions, challenges, new weapons, combat skills, and characters.
The three DLCs are included in the Season Pass, which is part of the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Special Edition that can be pre-ordered.
