Families in Vermont will receive a stimulus check as a financial boost with the introduction of a child tax credit ahead of tax season.
In Vermont, taxpayers will be able access credits in the amount of $1,000 for each child under six years of age.
Refunds will be reduced for parents whose income exceeds $125,000. Both single and joint filers will see a decrease of $20 for every $1,000 earned above the $125,000 figure.
Those with incomes over $175,000 will not be eligible for this tax credit stimulus check.
It is important to note that residents who live in Vermont part of the year are entitled to receive a refund for income generated within state lines, without needing a Social Security number to obtain this tax benefit.
This stimulus check as a child tax credit is also available in other states, such as California, Colorado, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Idaho, Oklahoma and Utah.
