In the new trailer by Starfield tells more about the history of the game. Not the history of how Starfield was made, but the storyline in-game. The game takes place in the year 2330, in a relatively small part of the galaxy. The developers have gone all out and created their own solar system: The Settled Systems.
In the year 2310, twenty years before the start of the Starfield story, the two largest factions had a bloody war. These two factions now live in a rather uneasy peace and there is still some tension. Although there is peace now, The Settled System cannot yet be declared safe. The player is part of the Constellation faction, this group of explorers wants to learn everything about the universe and the new worlds.

Dangerous factions in Starfield
The trailer also shows other factions, not all of which are as peaceful as your faction. You have the Crimson Fleet and the Exliptic Mercenaries, which can be labeled as ‘dangerous’. What the other factions do and whether you can also join other groups is not yet clear.
In the coming months, Bethesda will probably start releasing more information about Starfield. The game has to release on November 11, 2022. At least we can enjoy a lot of dialogue, which Bethesda boss Todd Howard made it clear.
