It is being one of the versions of the new Mercedes S-Class. The new flagship developed by the sports brand, the Mercedes-AMG S 63e 4MATIC, has only been sighted once on the road. However, one of the most powerful plug-in hybrids of the brand, and of the market, has been hunted in new spy photos.
The launch of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid put German Premiums on the ropes. Because the second generation of the sports saloon set a new record in terms of performance, power and efficiency with a plug-in hybrid: nothing less than 680 hp on stock model and 700 round hp on facelift.
Mercedes has not let her guard down, rather she has dedicated herself to perfecting the assault with the new “AMG E Performance” technology which will debut next summer with the AMG GT 73e 4MATIC. And a few months later, in November 2021, the new Mercedes-AMG S 63e 4MATIC. The sports saloon has barely been seen once in some spy photos on the road, making it again parked and properly camouflaged.
The new Mercedes-AMG S 63e 4MATIC will offer high performance with consumption and utility emissions
Although much of the design of the luxury saloon will be common to the normal versions, the Mercedes-AMG have chosen to wrap it completely in camouflage, so not a single detail is left uncovered. The Pan-American grill, with its multiple chrome bars, maintains its characteristic lattice, the bumper shows more bulbous shapes, with large air intakes and lower, side skirts and four square trims that cover the exhausts.
The AMG S 63e 4MATIC will be the second model to feature the new AMG E Performance technology, combining the well-known engine 4.0-liter V8 biturbo and a 136 hp electric motor. In total, it will offer a performance superior to the 700 CV of Porsche when adding to this configuration other 136 hp more than the 20 kW battery can provide and the added power of a 400 Volt ISG.
The German brand will offer a second sports version, and also plug-in hybrid, known as AMG S 73e 4MATIC Coming to replace the previous AMG S 65. A mechanical configuration identical to the previous one, but that will have an electric motor with 204 hp, which will match the 816 hp of the sports saloon.
