One of the most popular speedrun categories in Baldur’s Gate III was the sex% speedrun. Here it was about trying to get to bed with one of the companions as quickly as possible, and the well-known speedrunner Mae managed to get the time down to under two minutes.
However, the old strategy is no longer viable. Previously, you could fall in love with Lae’zel by being a Gith and choosing a couple of simple dialogue options. Now you actually have to impress her a bit first (boring) to fall in love with the frog girl warrior.
Instead, this means players go after another character, Minthara. The drow paladin can be put to bed after one of the main points of Act 1, which might make you think it would take a while to romance her, but Mae has managed to do it in about four minutes. The tactic involves tracking down the sadistic companion in the goblin camp, stealing the druid’s idol in the Emerald Grove, and then taking a long rest so Minthara can take care of all the Tiefling refugees in there.
Mae has multiple records in Baldur’s Gate III, so it seems that no matter what Larian adds or removes from the game, she’s going to keep running through everything.
