“New Songs and Surprises at Night in the Fires Concert to Warm up Audience for Song Festival”

Two new, previously unheard songs will also be performed at the concert tonight. One of the founders of the background, Māra Upmane Holšteine, will not be able to join the musicians on stage, but there will be no shortage of surprises, as promised by Māra’s husband, Jānis.

The concert program will be performed in two parts – the musicians will perform both songs created by the “Viegli” foundation and other domestic composers with lyrics by Imantas Ziedonis. The title of the concert is borrowed from Imantas Ziedonis’s poem “Night in the Fires”, which tells about fires where darkness burns and light flows in.

The goal of the organizers is to warm up the audience for the song festival, which will be held this summer.
