A few weeks away from embarking on a North American tour, Charlotte Cardin announces the release of a deluxe version of her album Phoenix and unveils, in passing, a new song.
Scorpio Season, a reference to the astrological sign whose season spans October and November, is an electro-pop ballad in which, on a trip-hop rhythm, Charlotte Cardin observes a dying love affair.
“(The season of the scorpion) is a time of mystery, intensity, emotion. It’s the most sensual and confusing time of the year. We want privacy, but we are also looking for answers. Who are we? Where are we going? As each end announces a rebirth, this song deals with the fatalities that no one escapes during the scorpion season, ”explains the Quebec artist, in a press release.
Six months after the release of her first album, Charlotte Cardin is therefore moving into second gear. The new version of Phoenix, available November 12, will feature twenty tracks, including five new songs and remixed versions of Passive Agressive and the title track.
On November 11, she began a tour of the continent which took her to New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle in particular. She will also cross Canada, with extended stops in Montreal for four stays totaling eleven concerts, at MTelus. Two sequences of four concerts at the Imperial Bell in Quebec are also on the schedule.
Unfortunately for latecomers, all concerts in Quebec are sold out.
