Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said today that he had told his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmitry Kuleba, that peace talks with Russia could be held in Turkey in the future, Reuters reported.
Cavusoglu told reporters after a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels. The Turkish Foreign Minister pointed out that both sides have a positive view of the meeting in Turkey, the Turkish TV channel NTV reported, NOVA reported.
Cavusoglu said there were two possible scenarios. One is to meet the foreign ministers of the two countries first, and then the leaders to meet.
The second scenario is for the foreign ministers and the presidents to meet at the same time. In both cases, we want possible talks to take place in Turkey, Cavusoglu said.
