“New Škoda Superb: Latest Updates on the 2022 Model”

So far, the new Škoda Superb has only been presented in silhouettes on darkened images, another trailer of real cars under a tarpaulin, which, however, reveals a lot.

According to earlier speculations, the Superb model will retain two bodies, i.e. a liftback and a station wagon. The first-named, more representative variant with a folding rear window has an even more gradual roofline compared to the current generation.

The glass apparently ends just before the rear tear-off edge. The front headlights are again L-shaped, and the rear ones resemble the traditional letter C.

The video shows sharp edges, especially on the side of the body. It is also noticeable that the rear is divided by a distinct horizontal line, similar to the current generation after modernization.

The new Škoda Superb will be produced in Bratislava, where production from Kvasin was moved due to capacity reasons, for the first time alongside the Volkswagen Passat, which until now was produced in Emden, Germany, from where it gave way to electric cars for a change.

Between 1934 and 1949, Škoda produced only 900 civilian and 1,600 military versions of the original Superb. By contrast, modern iterations have sold more than 1,550,000 units since 2001. The first modern generation appeared in 2001, the second followed in 2008 and the third in 2015.
