New Skate Line Created Through Participatory Budget in Gironde

The participative budgets of the Gironde allowed the creation of a new skate line in Lacanau-de-Mios.

Winner of the participatory budget, the Lacanau Skate Crew collective received €20,000 from the Department of Gironde for the creation of a skate line called “La Mios Line”, inaugurated on May 13th.

This skateable route fully integrated into the environment, allows different generations and different practices to rub shoulders (skateboarding, scooters, rollerblades, walkers, children’s games and city stadium).

Participatory budgets in the Gironde

This is the first year that the Gironde department has launched its participatory budget. The objective here: anticipate and adapt to environmental and societal changes.

This year, an envelope of 700,000 euros was given to devote itself to the realization of the projects proposed by the young people.

These projects were then chosen by the Girondines and Girondins.
