Television stations are constantly experimenting with new program formats. Some shows like “Who Steals the Show?” have been very popular since their inception until today and have had multiple seasons. Even though Joko Winterscheidt’s show lost its reach, it recently remained above the million mark again.

The stars of a new Sat.1 show couldn’t be happy about such ratings. This could in turn be groundbreaking for the future of the show, especially since only two episodes have been produced so far.

The Sat.1 show “Does it still work?!” was only shown twice on television

On September 23rd and 30th, Sat.1 showed the program “Does it still work?!” – The crazy consumer show” in prime time. The faces of the show are Mirja Boes, Olaf Schubert and Wigald Boning. The broadcaster announced in advance that “five completely crazy – but also completely real – problems and annoyances of viewers” would be presented here.

Everything revolves around consumer issues and the hassle that comes with them. It was already known in advance that two episodes of the format would initially be included in the TV program. There was initially no talk of anything else. With a view to the audience ratings, it could also be a good thing that Sat.1 leaves it with just the two editions.

Sat.1 show with comedy stars like Mirja Boes doesn’t work

The media service “Dwdl” now announced that after the weak start to the second week, even fewer people tuned in. Only 630,000 people saw the show about the comedy stars. In the advertising-relevant target group of 14 to 49 year olds, a market share of just 4.1 percent was measured. This was 0.7 percentage points less than the first edition on September 23rd.

In addition to Sat.1, ProSieben also weakened. There were several “Young Sheldon” episodes to see here. The first episode reached a total reach of 660,000 viewers. Another edition lost a significant number of viewers, so that only a market share of 7.2 percent was achieved. RTL Zwei also struggled with the ratings. On average, only 310,000 people saw “The Cooking Professionals”.

In 2024, Twenty4Tim took part in the jungle camp, arguably reaching the peak of his popularity. He placed third on the show and then joined Kim Virginia. But apparently nothing concrete came of it.
