US President Donald Trump has suffered yet another defeat in his persistent efforts to reverse his loss in the presidential election. The Wisconsin State Supreme Court rejected a complaint from the Trump camp.

Among other things, the president’s lawyers had wanted to ensure that more than 220,000 votes cast by post would not count. It would mainly be about votes for Democrat Joe Biden. Even if the court would have jurisdiction to investigate the complaint, it must be done before a lower court, said one of the judges of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
The state recently confirmed that Trump’s Democratic rival Joe Biden had won the majority there. That made Biden’s national victory even stronger. According to American media, this gathered 306 electors / women for the Electoral College, Trump 232. A majority of 270 is enough to become president. In Wisconsin, Trump lost in the popular vote by about 20,700 votes.
No progress
The current Republican head of state has so far made no progress with lawsuits in the states that were decisive for Biden’s election victory. He always talks about fraud, but could not prove it.
By law, the results of each state are fixed if not successfully challenged before December 8. The winner of the presidential election will be finally designated by the Electoral College meeting on December 14.
