Governor Tere Jiménez inaugurated a new Seguro Popular clinic in Cosío, the fifth in Aguascalientes. The opening of this clinic aims to improve access to medical services in the town.
During the inauguration, the governor emphasized the importance of providing quality medical services to all citizens. “Health is a right, and every citizen must have access to adequate services,” Jimenez said.
The clinic, located at Prolongación Esteban Castorena No. 605, Colonia Popular, offers free services such as general medical consultations, laboratory analysis, dental services, mammograms, nutritional guidance and psychological counseling. Rubén Galaviz Tristán, Secretary of State Health, encouraged residents without social security to take advantage of these services and highlighted the reduction in costs and travel times for residents.
This project is part of a wider plan that includes the opening of three additional clinics in San José de Gracia, Calvillo and Pabellón de Arteaga during the year. The president of the town of Cosío, Eusebio Enrique Delgado Esparza, thanked the state government for its support, highlighting the benefits for the local community.
Rosaura Murillo de Santiago, who represented the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude for the new clinic, highlighting the quality of the facilities and medical equipment.
Also present at the event were Fernando Marmolejo Montoya, local deputy chief; José Antonio Abad Mena, general director of the Public Charity Institute of the State of Aguascalientes (IBPEA); and Francisco Araiza Méndez, general secretary of the Aguascalientes Federation of State Unions, Municipalities and Decentralized Organizations (FEDESA).
