New season starts for top amateurs on 29/30 August 2020 with qualifying round KNVB Beker

On Friday afternoon, the Dutch Football Association announced on the official website what was already released by Voetbal247, namely that in the weekend of 5/6 September 2020 the competition will start in the Second Division, Third Division and the big league. The new season starts one week earlier for the teams from the Third Division and the big league with the first qualifying round of the KNVB Cup. Second Division associations only join one round later.

In the new program it has been decided to set a number of midweek overtaking moments for the Second and Third Division, this for any canceled games. This concerns October 25-27, November 17-19 and December 8-10. For the big league it was decided to use the original make-up time of November 14/15 as a normal round.

The winter break for the Second and Third Division runs from December 13 to January 18, 2021. For the main league, it is determined between December 20 and January 15, 2021. The last rounds are scheduled for May 22/24, 2021.
