First and foremost, expect many familiar headlines in the brand new episodes. Maaike Cafmeyer, Dries Heyneman, Mathias Sercu, Steven Mahieu, Yves Degryse, Patricia Kargbo, Anna-Marie Missoul, Zouzou Ben Chikha, Wim Opbrouck, Benoit Dorné, Bert Huysentruyt and Kurt Defrancq are again present. The only actor no longer on the roll call is Adrian Sack whose character Eddy was killed off at the end of the previous series.
Newcomers? There are plenty of them. And of course there are many West Flemish names included. Think of Wim Stevens, Lize Feryn, Robin Keyaert, Ilse De Koe, Serge-Henri Valcke, Kurt Van Eeghem and Gunter Lamoot.

With the end of the previous season, the story seemed completed. Finally, Chantal and Arne found each other in love. But Mathias Sercu, who wrote the stories again, brewed the next chapter in Chantal’s life in Loveringem. The fact that Chantal and Arne are now a couple is the common thread throughout the third season. A relationship appears to have many advantages, but Chantal also continues to find her work important. That is a fact with which Arne is not very happy. In addition, there is Chantal’s teenage daughter Emma, who paired the two last season. But now that there is a man in the house, this also appears to have disadvantages for her. After all, Arne is a very caring father figure, something you can do without as much as a toothache as an adolescent teenager.

After the loss of Eddy, a new force joins the police team, and it turns out to be an old acquaintance. Miss Els (Julie Delrue) gets a job as an administrative assistant, and soon ensures that the atmosphere at the office changes completely. And before we forget: there is crime again in the Far West. Burglary, murder, blackmail, vandalism, disputes with neighbors… it’s all covered.
After a great start in the autumn of 2022 with more than a million viewers every week, Chantal’s viewing figures shot through the roof at the beginning of this year. Each episode attracted almost 1.5 million viewers. In addition, it was remarkable that the series had also scored well on Streamz, and this therefore had no effect on the viewing figures on VRT1. It is not yet known when the new episodes will be released.
