The recording crew worked according to a safety protocol and also took a corona manager with them. He was responsible for adhering to the agreements and ensuring that the crew and candidates adhered to their strictly separate bubbles.
The candidates were selected this year from nearly 30,000 interested parties, of which 10,000 registrations were rejected and 200 people were allowed to interview the makers.
In full corona crisis the popularity of The mole therefore still to increase: in 2019 about 14,000 candidates registered.
