Yle says in its press release that with today’s series, an effort has been made to meet the wishes of young viewers for a realistic and humorous depiction of the life and everyday life of middle schoolers. The series is a drama with a humorous touch.

For the series, large auditions were organized in Pirkanmaa, in which 400 children participated. The three main roles were selected from among them Kerttu Liukko, Vieno Kinnunen and Veeti Strait. The script has been refined with young actors to make the conversation sound authentic. Before filming, the production also organized a camp, which helped the shooting situation become familiar and new things and people would not be too exciting.
