new satellite images of troops in Belarus

There is still no withdrawal of troops; moreover, the Russian Federation is moving its troops closer to the Ukrainian border. Over the past few days, another 7,000 troops have been deployed.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the withdrawal of part of the troops from the borders with Ukraine, but new satellite images do not record the withdrawal of troops. Moreover, the transfer of troops continues. About it informs Sky News.

Satellite imagery from Maxar shows high Russian military activity in Belarus. In particular, a field hospital was built at the Osipovichi training ground (Belarus, Mogilev region), and training activities were also recorded there.

Attack helicopters arrived at the Zyabrovka airfield (Gomel region, bordering on the Chernihiv region of Ukraine). Among them are 12 Ka-52 and 8 Mi-8 helicopters. Previously, other military equipment stood here, which is either withdrawn from the country or transferred to other areas.

Higher quality image appeared pontoon bridge across the Pripyat river only 5 km from Ukraine. As the authors write, it is impossible to understand from the satellite image alone whether it was made exclusively as part of the Allied Resolve 2022 exercise.

However, the very presence of such a crossing reduces the time of entry to Ukraine by almost half.

Instead of a real withdrawal of troops, as they say in the publication, Russia, on the contrary, is getting closer and closer to the Ukrainian border. The transfer of forces also continues, another 7,000 troops have come to the border areas. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation shows a video with the withdrawal of troops, but no one except the department and state channels publishes trains that would move from Ukraine.

Michael Clarke, a professor of military studies at King’s College London, believes that the evidence of a troop withdrawal would be columns with heavy equipment, medical support, a flow of engineering equipment and food. And at the moment there is none. A striking example of de-escalation would be the withdrawal of the military who arrived from the Far East.

Recall the US and UK warned about the increase in Russian troops on the border with Ukraine. The State Department also stated that Russian troops continue to arrive at the borders of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the same time declares that Ukraine is not afraid of any dates for the invasion. The Ukrainian military and police are ready to defend the country, and the army has become much stronger since 2014.
