According to the available information, a new special unit “Assault Gladiators” has been formed in the Russian Federation, which consists of prisoners recruited for the war against Ukraine, writes the Center for National Resistance of Ukraine, transmits Ukrainian truth.
It is noted that this is a privileged semi-secret battalion, which consists of several hundred prisoners with combat experience and is called “Gladiators” in honor of the former general of the 58th army with the call sign “Spartacus”.
The battalion is commanded by a former police officer convicted of brutal murder. For this unit, people with a high level of physical fitness, experience in the service in the security forces, as well as combat veterans are selected.
In addition, the gladiators are trained on a training ground by ex-Wagner fighters and by Akhmat fighters, the last part of the Russian Guard.
