New rumors of the union of Microsoft and SEGA but it would not be finally a purchase

January 31, 2021

Following the acquisition of Zenimax (Bethesda) by Microsoft, there has been much speculation about another large purchase by Redmond. All eyes pointed to SEGA becoming part of the company but a new leak now points in another direction.

Thanks to a Reddit user who has leaked a new Xbox Game Pass submenu, we can anticipate that this association of both companies would be to bring the classic titles of the Japanese company to Microsoft’s subscription service.

As we can see in the video on these lines, in the Xbox Game Pass menu this user has discovered a section dedicated to SEGA and where all the company’s classic games will be available.

This menu is not available in all regions and it is unknown when it will arrive. In the absence of an official announcement from Microsoft, we cannot yet treat its arrival as official.
