The next Mass Effect game is one of the most anticipated role-playing games in gaming right now. While many are enjoying the Baldur’s Gate adventure, those eager for another sci-fi epic are waiting for more news from BioWare on when they can expect to see the game.
Now, we have a new rumor about the game’s structure. According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, the game will not feature an open world like Mass Effect: Andromeda, but will instead return to the linear style of the original trilogy.
“I heard Mass Effect is ditching the open world and going back to its classic formula,” he is Xbox Two PodcastSaid above. “I don’t know if it’s 100% accurate, but it’s an industry rumor.
It’s no secret that fans prefer the original trilogy to its spinoff into the Andromeda galaxy. However, it would have been nice if there were more areas to explore, even if the game took a linear approach. Maybe there are different ways to accomplish your task. Regardless, Dragon Age: The Dauntless Wolf is BioWare’s current priority, while Mass Effect is still in pre-production.
