The second wave of Covid-19 makes itself felt in the big capitals of Europe, which determines the limitations of emergencies, and has also begun major disagreements in Madrid, TV3 News reports.
Spain was particularly hard hit by the plague in the spring, and its inhabitants remember with bitterness the severe restrictions in the heat of the pandemic – no reason to be allowed to leave the house, let alone ceremonial or cultural events. That is why tensions are also being felt in some parts of Madrid, at a time when the Spanish Government is imposing repeated, rather strict restrictions.
The fact of the matter is that the Madrid region does not agree with the central government on the need for an isolation regime and even promises to go to court. However, the government emphasizes that something must be done for the cause, as the capital accounts for almost half of the country’s newly discovered cases.
“When a person goes to the doctor, he expects the truth. As Minister of Health, on behalf of the government, I say that health is our top priority and the situation in Madrid is worrying. ” said Salvador Ija, Spanish Minister for Health.
In Europe, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have also declared an emergency situation, given the increase in Covid-19 cases. Larger events and gatherings are largely prohibited.
“We are ready for the influx of patients. If the numbers grow, we will be able to apply a special plan that allows us to add more hospital beds, ”explained Hana Blahova, an epidemiologist at Bulovce Hospital.
In the Czech Republic, regional and Senate elections are also taking place at the end of the week, on October 2 and October 3 – now people can vote in special tents by driving. This is especially meant for those who are in self-isolation.
Similar words about the virus not currently being controlled can also be heard from Westminster Castle. British politicians have turned a blind eye to social life and new restrictions are coming into force in England as well. Although they are currently regional, they can be extended to the whole territory if necessary.
“In certain regions, regulations will not be in place for people not to visit to prevent household clutter, except outdoors, such as in parks. We recommend not to watch sports games. Also, you will be allowed to visit nursing homes only if it is very necessary, ”called the British Minister of Health Matt Henkock.
Meanwhile, Germany has begun to identify risk areas: Berlin on Wednesday, September 30, identified 11 European countries or regions with a high number of new Covid-19 cases, and for the first time, the regions of Estonia and Lithuania were included in this list.
In the other Baltic States, the incidence rates on 1 October were higher than in Latvia. Estonia has registered 81 new cases a day, and the number of Covid-19 victims has risen to 65. Meanwhile, 91 people have been infected in Lithuania. Most of the cases are related to the focus in Kaunas Musical Theater.
