One of them is related to the reason varian omicron tend to cause symptoms Covid-19 which is lighter.
Japanese and American research team conducted studies on mice and hamsters. The results show that varian omicron cause infection with lower damage rate and is often confined to the nose, throat, and windpipe.
This study also found that varian omicron not like that harm the lungs when compared to the previous variant. As is known, the previous variants can trigger breathing difficulties and injury to the lungs.

In this study, researchers also used Syrian hamsters. In previous studies, Syrian hamsters often experienced severe illness when infected with variants of Covid-19. However, when infected with omicron, it appears to experience milder symptoms.
“This was surprising, given that other variants caused severe infections in these hamsters,” said the researchers and virologist from Washington University, Dr. Michael Diamond as reported by the news.com page, Sunday, January 2, 2022.
A different study was also conducted by a research team from the University of Hong Kong. This study also showed similar results.
