It seems that little by little the great film releases are marking their release dates, more or less definitive. Marvel movies are the ones that will change the most over the next few years, going from 2-3 releases a year to four. Not counting the number of series that are going to reach Disney +. Come on, content we will have for a while. During the Investor Day 2020 held a few days ago, the studio has announced a few changes. We started the review of dates!
The King’s Man, the prequel to the saga Kingsman by Matthew Vaughn, will be released on March 12, 2021, so it will be one of the great blockbusters to hit theaters. Conversely, Antlers, the film produced by Guillermo del Toro, has been withdrawn from the calendar, leaving it without a release date. Disney’s animated movie, Raya and the last dragon, will premiere simultaneously on Disney + and in theaters on March 5, 2021.
Free Guy, Madness starring Ryan Reynolds, will hit theaters on May 21, 2021, and the second installment of the Agatha Christie adaptations directed by Kenneth Branagh, Death on the Nile, will finally arrive on September 17, 2021, almost a year after its original premiere. At the end of 2021, we will get a Disney movie announced on Investors Day, Charm, on November 24, 2021. Without forgetting Jungle Cruise, which should have hit theaters this summer and has been postponed until August 6, 2021 in Spain, a week after its US premiere.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe it will start with enthusiasm in 2021, with three films: Black Widow, Shang-Chi and Eternals; and with a very promising 2022, with the premiere of the fourth installment of Thor, Love and Thunder which will arrive on May 6, 2022, while Black Panther 2 will move to July 8, 2022 and Captain Marvel 2 to November 11, 2022.
Pixar will offer us two new stories in 2022, Turning Red on March 11, 2022 and Lightyear, which will star Chris Evans, on June 17, 2022. And Star Wars seems to return to the big screen, with a project that has surprised a lot, directed by Patty Jenkins, Rogue Squadron, on December 22, 2023.
