The double murder in Rödermark, which took place more than two decades ago, was the topic of the program “Aktenzeichen XY” on Wednesday. Now there are new clues.
More than 20 years after a double murder of a married couple in Rödermark, the Offenbach criminal police received new information – thanks to the program “Aktenzeichen XY”, which ran on ZDF on Wednesday evening. There, the murder case was picked up in a “cold cases” special broadcast, which dealt with unsolved homicides long ago. Already at the end of the broadcast it was said that someone had reported to the police in Offenbach and “left a promising piece of information”. Yesterday, Thursday, a spokesman for the Southeast Hesse police headquarters in Offenbach announced that 60 to 70 reports had been received – including “some very good ones”. The Kripo will now investigate this information. The program also brought the investigators further evidence of the murder of a 13-year-old girl from Wiesbaden on June 16, 1999.
On March 25, 1999, Claus Lange, the operator of a small travel agency, and his wife were robbed and killed in their single-family home in the Breidert settlement in Rödermark. Years later, a DNA trace was isolated, but it could not be assigned to any person.
