The red-whites hosted Metallurg in Moscow and suffered their sixth defeat in a row, losing with a score of 2:6. However, Spartak’s first goal in the match, scored by Nikolai Goldobin, became a record 179th in the current regular season. The previous achievement – 178 goals – was set in the 2009/2010 season.
Gorshkov is the best assistant in the history of Admiral
The match day opened with a match in Vladivostok, where Admiral hosted Sibir. The hosts won a landslide victory with a score of 5:2, Alexander Gorshkov provided an assist. This is a new record for the Admiral; the previous one (61 assists) belonged to Jonathan Bloom.
Gorshkov put together a complete combo: the best scorer, the best sniper, the best assistant and the leader in the number of matches played in the history of Admiral.
Bilyalov’s sixth “cracker”
Ak Bars visited Nizhnekamsk and achieved a minimal victory in the Tatarstan derby (1:0). Timur Bilyalov kept a clean sheet for the sixth time this season and the 30th time in the League, stopping 29 shots. He leads the current championship in this indicator; the group of four goalkeepers behind him have four clean sheets each.
Four takes in one day
There were four doubles in three matches. Anton Berlev scored two goals, this is his second double in the KHL. In the game between Spartak and Metallurg, Nikita Mikhailis and Danila Yurov brought Magnitka victory. In Cherepovets, Arseniy Gritsyuk scored a double, but this was not enough for victory – the St. Petersburg team lost to Severstal (2:3).
Anniversaries and scoring streaks
Admiral defenseman Evgeny Lisovets played his 500th game in the KHL, Valery Orekhov from Metallurg and Artyom Shvets-Rogovoy from SKA played the 300th, Daniil Tesanov from Lokomotiv played the 100th. Ak Bars leader Alexander Radulov made his 450th assist.
Four players extended their personal scoring streaks: Igor Geraskin now has four matches (3+3), Nikita Korostelev and Adam Liszka have five games each (6+3 and 1+4, respectively), Gritsyuk has seven games (6+ 4).
