New record of infections: Minsalud reports 5,335 new cases of COVID-19 in Colombia

On Thursday afternoon, the Ministry of Health confirmed that 5,335 tests for COVID-19 were positive in the last 24 hours. This means that the number of infected people rose to 133,973. Meanwhile, it was known that 187 people died and another 2,638 recovered.

With this report, This Thursday, July 9, becomes the day of more deaths and more infections registered in the country.

In total, there are already 4,714 people who lost their lives in the country due to the coronavirus. Similarly, the patients who overcame the disease are 56,272. Today 21,526 tests were processed.

According to information provided by the National Institute of Health, INS, there are 944 patients hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.

There are 72,716 active cases in the country.

The new cases occurred in Bogotá (1607), Barranquilla (680), Antioquia (578), Valle (541), Atlántico (365), Cundinamarca (226), Cartagena (195), Córdoba (168), Nariño (155) , Sucre (135), Santa Marta (114), Tolima (111), Magdalena (88), Risaralda (55), Santander (53), Chocó (46), La Guajira (41), Cauca (30), Meta ( 27), Cesar (22), Bolívar (17), Norte de Santander (17), Boyacá (16), Caldas (10), Quindío (8), Casanare (7), Arauca (6), Huila (6), Amazonas (5), Guaviare (3), Putumayo (2) and Caquetá (1).
