The fortune of the American billionaire Warren Buffett (90) plummeted for the first time 100 billion dollars, around 847 billion kroner, after Berkshire Hathaway has exploded on the stock exchange this week, reports CNBC.

Buffett holds 249,000 shares in Berkshire Hathaway Class A, which gives him a 38 percent stake. The stock closed at a new record high of $ 399,650 on Wednesday, before falling back to $ 395,950 at closing time on Thursday, and a further 0.29 percent to $ 394,800.

Berkshire shares have risen 13.51 percent so far this year.

Due to Thursday’s dip, the fortune is stated to be 99.3 billion dollars and the “oracle from Omaha” holds a fifth place in Forbes list of the world’s richest people. The fortune has recovered significantly in the last six months after being estimated at 73.5 billion dollars in September last year.
