Australia: Prime Minister Morrison is going to the climate summit in Glasgow
After much hesitation, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison finally confirmed his participation in the UN climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland. The government is in the process of working out its position for the summit. “I’m looking forward to the discussions in the next few weeks,” said Morrison on Friday. At the end of September he had stated that it had not yet been decided whether or not to attend personally. “I have to focus on things here and Covid-19,” said the conservative politician.
