New post office near Boryspil airport will build a runway

Novaya Pochta did not confine itself to launching its own air carrier – a sorting terminal of the company with separate airstrip for drones… It is assumed that the terminal will handle more than 100 thousand parcels per day.

The facility will be located near the airport for the convenience of international delivery. About it reported in the “New mail” itself. The project will spend billion hryvnia, will be built in three stages. The first phase will be launched in 2022.

Earlier in the “New mail” already tried drone delivery… The parcel rose to a height of 300 meters from the Chaika airfield in the capital and arrived 5 hours later at the Korotich airfield in the Kharkiv region.

The total area of the complex will be 35 thousand sq. km… It will include:

  • runway for unmanned aerial vehicles;

  • parcel building;

  • cargo body;

  • internal fulfillment – they will deal with issues related to the delivery of goods to customers;

  • sorting station “New mail Global” for international mail.

“For sorting parcels, 6 automated lines from the Dutch company Vanderlande and the Lithuanian company Equinox will be used in three levels. The latter will sort small cargo up to 2 kg,” the postal service noted.

Small cargoes are collected in the new terminals process without human labor… It is planned to identify damaged parcels or problems with marking using a video system.

In addition, Novaya Pochta will receive a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). We are talking about receiving 13 million euros, which will be spent on the construction of another terminal – this time in the Dnieper.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, the airline “New mail” was named Supernova Airlines. Flights will be operated from the airports “Boryspil” and “Lviv”. They will deliver international shipments.

We also told how “New mail” and “Ukrposhta” will work October 14-17. The schedule of both postal companies has changed.
