The latest editorial launch of the Proa Foundation presents a careful selection of interviews with contemporary national and international artists who participated in our exhibition proposals over the last few years.
Eleven interviews with artists who respond to the need to abandon, in favor of new possibilities, a certain introversion inherent to the museum. Outside of the analogy that links the institutional with the inside and the public with the outside, the works of these eleven artists have in common the fact that they are not limited only to closed surfaces, but rather that they expand their limits towards confines relative to nature or public domain spaces.
From the reflections of the artists Anish Kapoor – Cai Guo Qiang – Dan Graham – Fred Sandback – Jenny Holzer – Jesús Rafael Soto – Leandro Erlich – Mario Merz – Marta Minujín – Nicolás García Uriburu and Sol Lewitt, questions are raised about the processes , the destination of the works, their readings, difficulties and effects of multiple projects designed for specific places.
