New positive test at Dynamo Dresden despite home insulation NOW

At Dynamo Dresden, another player was tested positive for the corona virus this week. The selection and technical staff of the Second Bundesliga club have been in home isolation for almost two weeks due to previously confirmed infestations.

Dynamo Dresden reports on Thursday that one player and a housemate of someone from the guidance staff have tested positive for the corona virus. The persons involved must now remain in quarantine for fourteen days.

The bottom line of the Second Bundesliga missed the resumption of the season last weekend, because on May 9 two players tested positive for the virus. The rules stipulate that in such a case a club may no longer train for fourteen days and may not play any matches for the time being.

Dynamo Dresden can resume training on Saturday, even after this new positive test. The club’s next game will be at home against VfB Stuttgart on 31 May.

“It was expected that more positive cases would come to light in the fifth round of testing,” said sports director Ralf Minge on the Dynamo Dresden site. “This new positive test in our team proves that the Gesundheitsamt (German GGD, ed.) Of Dresden acted very professionally and responsibly.”
